Abundance is a concept often debated in spiritual and
entrepreneurial circles.

Entrepreneurs commonly use the catch-phrase “thinking
BIG,” but they really mean the same thing.

Abundance is tough to define because it’s one of those
unique ideas that must be experienced to really be
understood … it can’t just be explained.

Yet the most encouraging part of adopting an abundance
mindset is how it can connect you to people with totally
different set of beliefs and values.

This week I listened to some amazing people talk about abundance, Jack Canfield who spoke about the importance of visioning yourself in the way you want your life to be, he spoke of rituals of visioning such as writing your goals on 3 x 5 cards you carry with you and look at during the day, he talked of building a dream board placing pictures (envisioning tool) of where you see yourself and then feel what ii is to be in that place and he spoke to being grateful for where you are and what you have now in your life.

I listened to Richard Branson, owner or Virgin Atlantic Airlines. Wow, what an interesting guy. He never gave up on his dream of building a better airline even when people told him he was just a old rocker!

    One of my favorite set of speakers were David Morelli & Marci Shimoff, they spoke about how you stop focusing on fear insread focus on the path you want to go and “feel” what that is like.  Here are a few tips they offered to raise your abundance thinking;

    1. Be Open to receive abundance, breathe deeply and you will become more open physiclaly

    2. Create space for new by cleaning out old energy, Marci suggested a simple task of getting rid of 27 items a day for 9 days, things that no longer serve you which tells the universe you are open to receive

    3.  Step back out of fear to have the possibility of something else. You can do this by daily meditation and visualizing your negativity and old beliefs leaving your body and being grounded back into the earth or out into the universe

    4.  Practice gratitude, every day find things you are grateful for and the many blessings you currently have in your life

    5.  Giving – will raise your happiness level, volunteer or give to someone else in need

Where do you get stuck?  Most be people get stuck in “I’ll be happy when……”  instead learn to be happy now, this moment.

I’m learning to change my abundant thinking and I hope you will too.

Going Home

Author: admin

It’s almost two weeks now since I arrived back home in Minneapolis after my 4 month adventure on the campaign trail. What a great opportunity I had to learn what is takes to run a grass roots campaign and if and how one individual can affect change. This is something I continue to ponder.

I know how blessed I am to continue to have new opportunities come my way that allow me to grow and learn,  my Mom taught me that you are never to old to learn and that everyday we are given opportunitites to learn about ourselves.

For now I look forward to spending the upcoming holidays with family and friends -I have watched countless hours of the FoodTV Network (yes, my biggest vice) and I’m planning one helluva a great Thanksgiving dinner!

Choose Carefully

Today I heard an Assemblyman Elect talking about the “quality of individuals that represent us” and it got me thinking that each one of us has a responsibility to vote for men or women that have integrity and are the quality we want representing our best interests. I believe (despite the negative apathy thats seems to be so pervasive today) that among us are some men and women that have integrity and believe they can make a difference in our states. I have the privilege of working for one of the few right now, so people find the good ones in your area, they do exist.

Dialing for Dollars

Author: admin

Today was a first for me as I spent a good share of the day calling for campaign contributions! Unfortunately, it takes money to run a campaign no matter if you’re running for city council or president of the United States. Our campaign doesn’t require the big bucks like a presidential campaign for instance we don’t need a jet, (we drive a Prias), we don’t have an entourage of staff (there are currently 3 of us), we don’t have the press following our every move (too bad, guess they don’t find our activities newsworthy enough….yet). But what we do have is determination, strength and faith that this campaign will edure the hard times and that Gabriella will get to share her values with the voters, after all that’s what matters.

I have had many new opportunities come my way this year both professionally and personally. The most recent opportunity that I want to share is my new temporary job in Los Angeles, CA working on a friends State Political campaign. I have always had more than a passing interest and involvement in our political process and when offered the job to work on a campaign I really jumped at the chance to have a behind the scenes experience. I’m sure I will meet all types if people and be involved in many interesting situations, so please stay tuned! I have an open mind, a willingness to learn something new and I am inspired by a woman who believes she can change her community and State for the betterment of all. – God Bless America!
